My Story

 

I founded Our Soul Space with the intention of sharing the healing gifts I had found through reiki, yoga, and trauma work with a community searching for deep transformation and mindful movement. But it wasn’t until I went down my own path of self-discovery to know that I wanted to guide others and make this my life’s work.

 

About a year before I had my son, I began feeling the need for deep change within myself and something completely new. But the only thing standing between my desire to heal and actually beginning that process was finding a method that would truly work for me and give me the transformation I so needed.

 

I had done the traditional talk therapy sessions before, and sitting on a couch across from a doctor again just didn’t resonate with me. I found myself still feeling little change within myself and striving for more. 

 

It wasn’t until I “coincidentally” had a conversation with a friend who told me all about these new methods she was trying, such as reiki and trauma work, that my journey really began (the universe is truly always listening, huh?) It sounded exactly like what I was missing, so I jumped right in and never looked back.

 

My journey allowed me to shift from a victim mentality to self love and admiration. I dug deep into my past to better understand myself and to be able to give myself what I was missing and needing for so long, so I could finally move forward in my life and stop feeling stuck.

 

I was able to heal my inner child and better navigate life moving forward. All of the progress and change that has taken place within me has truly made me a better and more compassionate human, mother, wife, teacher, and friend. I am also so grateful to have made this investment in myself before starting my family, so I can raise my son in the most healthy and loving way.
